El gobierno estadounidense propuso una reforma en donde los consumidores (como nosotros), normalitos y corrientes ahora tenemos la opcion de escoger si queremos o NO queremos que las empresas que hacen TELEMARKETING nos llamen a nuestras casas.

Miren los resultados en el primer dia de actividades de esta nueva reforma:

The FTC officially logged 250,000 confirmed registrations online and by phone by 10:30 a.m. (EST) Friday morning, 370,000 by Noon, 635,000 by 2:30 P.M. and 735,000 by 5 P.M.

The Registry was officially unveiled Friday morning by President George W. Bush, FTC Chairman Timothy Muris and FCC Chairman Michael K. Powell. Registration is free and is available in both English and Spanish for consumers online or via a toll-free number. Information is available online at FTC.gov.

"We're very pleased that beginning today, consumers can make the call on whether to get telemarketing pitches at home," Muris said in a statement.
