Ahora back to Starbuck..
Starbucks Gives Consumers Credit

New York -- Starbucks has spread from seemingly every street corner to consumer's wallets via the launch of the new Starbucks Card Duetto Visa.

The ubiquitous coffee chain found that 10% of all purchases were being made via its reloadable Starbucks cards. "[So] we decided to innovate on top of that by partnering with Bank One and Visa U.S.A.," said Anne Saunders, Starbucks vp-marketing.

Consumers get 1% in "Duetto dollars" on all Visa purchases redeemable for product and merchandise. A one-time $5 donation will be provided to organizations supported by the Starbucks Foundation after the first purchase.

"The fact that we've made significant headway in financial services category is a surprise to us frankly," said Saunders. Through the new card "consumers can earn rewards more quickly plus there is a philanthropic aspect which is core to our values."

Saunders said the company is always working to "improve the Starbucks experience" citing the recent addition of WiFi wireless Internet connections at 2,700 locations.
